Tanya France
Mrs. France is excited to serve as the 6th-grade counselor this school year. This is my sixth year as a school counselor, and before that, I worked as a teacher. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Growth and Development and a master’s degree in School Counseling, and I am currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.
Outside of school, I’m married with two children—one in 6th grade and one in 9th grade—and we also have a beloved fur baby named Chance. I enjoy spending most of my free time watching my kids play sports and simply being with my family.
As a counselor, my role is to support students academically, socially, and emotionally, while also helping them think about life beyond secondary education. Middle school is a big transition, and my goal is to make the journey as smooth as possible while assisting students in building the skills they need for success.
Parents can request school counseling services through email, phone, or Parent Square. I’ll also be sharing updates on Parent Square about the exciting things happening in 6th grade. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions—I look forward to partnering with you this year!
