School Counseling

Hi! I’m the 8th grade school counselor this year! I’ve been lucky to have this group since 6th grade, and I’m excited to be with them during their last year of middle school. I’ve been able to see them thrive and become young adults! This year we’ll focus on preparing for high school. My goal is to answer any questions that students and parents have about this important transition year! 

A little about me...I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Milligan University, and later earned my Master’s degree in Counseling at ETSU to become a licensed therapist. Finally, I realized I wanted to be a school counselor, so I earned my Ed.S. from Carson Newman. Since I began school counseling 10 years ago, I have loved every minute of it and hope to continue this path of helping students become the best versions of themselves. 

Hello! My name is Nicole Huebotter, and I am thrilled to serve as the 6th-grade school counselor this year. I am excited to be with this group until they transition to high school! I hold an Education Specialist Degree in Counselor Education.

As your school counselor, I support students through individual counseling sessions, classroom lessons, and small groups, covering a wide range of topics to guide them through their middle school years.
